Review

“Love All Play” is another example of an incredible sports series. I know it’s not a very popular genre among kdramas, but sports series are the best.

In this case, the series shares the lives of badminton players, in concrete, the ups and downs of a team called Yunis. We can see how they work, how they struggle, their love life, their problems with confidence, their teamwork… I think I have come across a masterpiece.

The plot is 100/100 interesting: there is no unnecessary scene, and you’ll have no problem following the storyline. I am telling you, it is one of the best I have watched in a long time.

Moreover, I could write a whole essay on how good the OST is. By just hearing the intro, I fell in love with this series. I’m the kind of person who skips the intros, but this time, I watched ALL of them.

However, and with great sorrow, I can’t give it five stars for a simple reason: I needed more badminton matches. I wanted less romance and more suffering, tension, and crying.

Overall, I could say that I was expecting a “Chasing Ball” type of series, and I came across one similar to “Thumping Spike” (don’t get me wrong, I love both of them). I’m not saying I didn’t like the series. I love “Love All Play”. But I think I had too high expectations.

Therefore, watch it right now. Don’t even think about it twice. If you like this series, I recommend watching “Badminton Boys” and if you still say sports series are boring, watch “Prince of Tennis” before speaking, because that series will change your life.
