I believe “The Secret Life of My Secretary” has one of the BEST kdrama characters of all time: Veronica Park. Just for her, you should watch this series 100%.
“The Secret Life of My Secretary” doesn’t have an absorbing plot. In fact, it is a cliché: a handsome boss who needs help and a secretary who helps him while she secretly falls in love. In that regard, “The Secret Life of My Secretary” is similar to “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?”.
Although romantically, this kdrama lacks originality, in comedy, only a few series have made me laugh this hard. I would even compare it to “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” “Strong Girl Nam-Soon,” “Vincenzo” (because who doesn’t laugh with Vincenzo Cassano), or “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay”.
Regarding comedy, I want to underline again how good Veronica Park’s character is. She carries the whole kdrama. Moreover, can we appreciate how cute Veronica and Dae Joo are? One of the best secondary couples I know.
Hence, you will easily find a better series to watch. However, I would call it a “resource”: a go-to kdrama when you have nothing else to watch.
