Bridgerton Season 4 Review

Benedict & Sophie’s Cinderella Romance Explained
We can say that Bridgerton is aging like fine wine. Each season seems impossible to top, yet every season is better!
What Is Bridgerton About?
If you don’t know yet (though I think everybody knows who the Bridgertons are), Bridgerton tells the story of a British noble family during the Regency era. Violet and Edmund Bridgerton have eight children. Each season of Netflix’s Bridgerton centers on one of the children.
Is Bridgerton Season 4 Based on the Books?
a Cinderella Love Story
On my side, there is no word to describe the emotion I had for this season. Benedict and Eloise are my favourite Bridgerton siblings, so I was looking forward to this season.❤️
I can’t say that my expectations were fully fulfilled. But at the same time, I’m not sure what I expected.
To be fair, I read the book first, so I knew what was going to happen.😅
This fourth season of Bridgerton was a Cinderella kind of love; forbidden love at first sight. The moment Benedict sees the love of his life, his whole life shifts. Will he be able to live without her? Or even find her?
What Worked in bridgerton Season 4
I adored Yerin as Sophie. I have spent the last month watching interviews of the Bridgerton cast, and I believe I’m devoted to Yerin Ha.
I also loved the aesthetic; they implemented the servants in the story perfectly. In the previous seasons, we were shown some glimpses of the servants’ lives, but I truly enjoyed watching the servants socializing with one another.
I truly enjoyed everything, but if I had to choose one thing, it would be the chemistry. The way Benedict looked at Sophie reminded me of Anthony and Kate in season 2 (we have one or two cameos of them as well in season four!😍).
What Didn’t Work (Minor Criticism)
If I had to complain about something, I would say that there were too many stories being told at the same time. I know that we need some context for the upcoming seasons, and that, therefore, it was necessary that John died in this season. However, I feel like sometimes I forgot that it was Benedict’s season.
Is Bridgerton Season 4 Worth Watching?
I can’t say Benedict Bridgerton’s season is my favourite (The Duke and I, a.k.a, the first Bridgerton season). That said, I think Netflix has once again done an incredible job.
Is Benedict’s season your favorite so far, or does nothing top Daphne and the Duke? Let’s debate in the comments.
Synopsis
The spare Bridgerton brother (as he calls himself), Benedict, is still refusing his mother’s wishes to settle down. Rather, he’s acting like a rake all around town. But at the season’s first ball — a masquerade held by none other than Lady Violet Bridgerton — that all changes. Benedict is taken aback by his encounter with the Lady in Silver, a mysterious attendee who quickly catches the attention of the ton. As quickly as she comes into his life, though, she vanishes. And in her place is a plucky young maid named Sophie Baek, who is stuck under the employ of the formidable Lady Araminta Gun.
Bridgerton season four brings some serious conflict for Benedict between his affection for this intriguing maid and his fantasy of the Lady in Silver. He’s unaware that they are the same person, so can the budding relationship between the two survive? Can true love truly conquer anything — even a cross-class connection forbidden by society?
