Resident Playbook

The Best Medical K-Drama I’ve Watched in Years
It had been a while since I watched a Korean drama, so when I started Resident Playbook, I honestly didn’t expect much. But I was so wrong, it turned out to be one of the best series I’ve seen in a long time.
It’s kind of like a sequel to Hospital Playlist, so if you liked that one, you’ll probably enjoy this too. Some of the original cast even make fun little cameos throughout the show!
One of the main reasons I loved Resident Playbook is the lead actress, Go Youn-jung. I first discovered her in Law School and started to like her acting, but it was her role in Alchemy of Souls that completely won me over. She has the most contagious smile and brings so much emotion and depth to every role she plays. She’s now one of my favorite Korean actresses. She shines in Resident Playbook.
What also makes this drama so special is that it doesn’t just stick to romance or typical K-drama plots. It dives into real, emotional topics like infertility, the struggles of pregnancy, and motherhood, while still mixing in sweet love stories, great friendships, and funny moments.
Netflix nailed it with this one. The story is heartfelt, the acting is amazing, and I got hooked right away. I can honestly say Resident Playbook is now my favorite medical K-drama. It’s touching, warm, and 100% worth watching.
