Why This Medical K-Drama Raised the Bar
Hospital Playlist is set at Yulje Medical Center and narrates the story of four friends who have been inseparable since 1999, when they all began medical school together.
Apart from working in the same hospital, they have a music band: MiDo FaLaSol. In general, Hospital Playlist has the best combo: good OST, medicine, a natural and mature group of friends, and a little bit of romance.
Speaking of the cast, what can I say about it? Jo Jung Suk from The King 2Hearts, Jung Kyung Ho from Crash Course in Romance, Jeon Mi Do from 39, and Yoo Yun Suk from Dr. Romantic (he really is the king of medical K-dramas😍). They are pure comedy! The best combo Hospital Playlist could ever have!
I think that above all, my favourite thing about Hospital Playlist is Chae Song Hwa. I feel deeply related to her in terms of singing, because she is terrible, and so am I😂.
Maybe it’s the friendships, maybe it’s the healing moments, but I LOVE medical series. Not just K-dramas, but I have also watched Grey’s Anatomy, Breathe, Pulse…
I think I have run through most of Netflix by now. Well, Hospital Playlist is in my top 3 favourite medical series.
Synopsis
“Hospital Playlist” depicts the stories of doctors, nurses and patients at a hospital. 5 doctors all entered the same medical university in 1999. They are now friends and work together in the same hospital.
